Alderney resident: 'FAB link referendum a good idea'
An Alderney resident has told ITV News that a referendum on the controversial undersea FAB cable in the island would be a "good idea".
His comments come after local residents were given the chance to vote on the project which will bring an electricity cable ashore in the island.
In a vote, States Members decided islanders should be allowed to have a say on the FAB link, which under the current proposals, would see an electricity interconnector run between France and Britain.
Members voted 8-1 in favour of the Island wide vote to find out whether residents are in favour.
One local resident says the people of Alderney should be allowed to have their say on this "massive" decision.
