Independent inspectors will be brought in to Jersey to examine the island's children's services.

The review has been ordered by the Chief Minister, in response to the recommendations of the Independent Jersey Care Inquiry, which was published earlier this month.

Children's homes on the island are already subject to inspection by the Jersey Care Commission.
