Jersey's Attorney General 'welcomes' care inquiry report

Jersey's Attorney General says he is "committed to improving the criminal justice system", following the publication of the Independent Jersey Care Inquiry.

Robert MacRae QC has welcomed the report and says that victims will be encouraged to report abuse and when they do their allegations will be taken seriously.

He added that all possible steps will be taken to bring offenders to justice.

They will now be studying the report and its recommendations in detail to see what further improvements can be made.
