'Haut de la Garenne should be demolished'
Jersey children's home, Haut de la Garenne, should be demolished - according to the long-awaited report into historical abuse in the island.
The home, dubbed "the house of horrors," was where hundreds of crimes were carried out over a number of decades, before it was shut in the 1980s.
The recommendation to consider demolishing the buildings were among several made by the investigative panel, which published its findings this afternoon.
It said the home was a "symbol of the turmoil and trauma" of the policeinquiry into the abuse.
