Freemasons parade through Guernsey for first time in 100 years
Freemasons have taken part in a public procession in Guernsey for the first time in 100 years.
They wore full masonic regalia for the parade, from the top of Smith Street, through High Street, to the Town Church, where they were joined by wives and families for a service of thanksgiving.
This morning’s parade was the first public procession of Freemasons in Guernsey since the Bicentenary of UGLE in 1917, although there have been many public processions in the UK over the last decade, as Freemasonry continues to become more open about its activities.
