Henry Cavill speaks to ITV News ahead of The Durrell Challenge

Henry Cavill has told ITV News he is delighted to be back in Jersey supporting the zoo.

The Hollywood star took part in the Durrell Challenge this morning, a 13km run starting at People's Park and ending at the zoo.

Nearly 600 runners took part in the event, many of whom turned up in superhero fancy dress, all to raise money for the charity.

Our reporter Daniel Skipp spoke to Henry ahead of the race about his ambassadorial role and what the zoo means to him.

The money raised from this year's event will help the on-going conservation work at Jersey Zoo and their projects around the world.

CEO Dr Lesley Dickie says she is delighted Henry has come back to the island to support the charity again this year.
