Rovers' first ever Priaulx title ‘meant to be’

Rovers captain Jake Ellis lifted the Priaulx League trophy for the first time in their history at Northfield.

Rovers coach Jez Robin said “it was meant to be” after his side beat title rivals North 4-3 on the final day to claim their maiden Priaulx League title.

Dale Webb scored twice in the closing minutes as they came from behind in one of the most remarkable climaxes to Guernsey’s domestic season in memory.

Tyler McKane and Sam Wright got the other two goals, while Nigel Hutton, Craig Mollet, and Simon Marley were on target for North who only needed a draw to seal their third straight title.
