Survey shows 25% of Guernsey teenagers approached by strangers online
New figures show that more than a quarter of young people in Guernsey have been approached online by a stranger asking them to meet.
The data comes from a recent survey into the lives of young people in Guernsey.
Students in the Bailiwick responded to questions about a range of issues specific to young people, including internet safety and bullying.
Following the survey, youth workers on the island hope to raise awareness of cyber security.
They want to tackle online bullying and educate about security and privacy, as well as how future employers may perceive them.
