New interactive attractions at Jersey War Tunnels

One of Jersey's most popular tourist attractions re-opens its doors for the new tourist season today.

The War Tunnels have been revamped to make the occupation story more interactive for visitors.

The ‘Whispers and Lies’ exhibition now has a series of four rooms which feature interactive content.

The new changes, which include interaction and audio, aims to give visitors a greater understanding of the emotional struggles that locals encountered at the time of the occupation.

A new children’s area has also been designed by the Jersey War Tunnels team.

They have collated artifacts, produced replica toys and painted an area in the Tunnels to create the room.

They say the area will be 'a valuable teaching aid' that allows the children to interact with historical items.

The on-site café has also had a re-vamp and comes under the new management of Mange Tout.

There'll be a variety of fresh, handmade cakes on offer daily from the new Mange Tout at Jersey War Tunnels.
