Guernsey's newest deputy takes vacant Education seat
Guernsey's newest deputy, Neil Inder, has taken the vacant seat on the Education Committee.
The role was left open when Deputy Marc Leadbeater resigned, amid controversy over moving away from the eleven plus system.
There were calls for the whole Committee to resign over concerns they don't support an all inclusive education system, voted for by the States last year.
But, Deputy Leadbeater was the only politician to leave and the remaining members faced a vote of no confidence yesterday, which failed.
Deputy Neil Inder ran unopposed for the position.
