Poor visibility is shifting around the islands
This morning, Jersey experienced thick fog, but there were mist and fog patches for Guernsey and Alderney.
Now (at 11.30am) the circumstances have flipped and Jersey airport is operational again.
Guernsey and Alderney are in fog, but there are signs that the clearer weather in Jersey will move north and they islands will see an improvement this afternoon.
That said, as it gets dark, Alderney in particular might see the fog return and in fact all the islands are at risk of poor visibility returning for a time.
Tomorrow (Saturday), the winds will have increased to a fresh force 5 and that means the murky conditions should be stirred up enough to allow airports a great chance of operating fully.
