Nursery means-testing postponed by a year

The States have announced that means tested nursery funding in Jersey is being postponed by a year.

The system was meant to start in September 2017, but is being delayed so procedures can be put in place.

When it kicks in families earning more than £100,000 won't be eligible for help with nursery fees.

Those earning between £85,000 and £100,000 will have access to some help and those below £85,000 will get 20 hours of free education a week.
