Thousands of purple flowers set to blossom in Guernsey
Volunteers in Guernsey will be planting purple flowers around the island today to raise awareness of polio.
Rotary Clubs across the British Isles are planting crocus corms as part of a national campaign supporting efforts to rid the world of the disease, for which there is no cure.
20,000 bulbs are being planted in the grounds of Government House, and 30,000 will be planted at the Weighbridge Roundabout.
