Christmas Bonus scheme could be re-instated today
Jersey's annual Christmas bonus scheme could be re-instated today, on a means tested basis.
The £80 benefit used to be available to any pensioner in the island during the festive season.
But that system was scrapped last year as part of cost cutting measures, with the Council of Ministers promising a review into it.
Today politicians are expected to bring a new version back, aimed at supporting the island's most vulnerable.
If approved it will cost £436,000.
