Blue Islands '100% aligned with customers' as disruption continues

Blue Islands boss Rob Veron has insisted he is "100% aligned with customers" as problems with the inter-island service continue.

In a statement on Friday he also said, "our published timetable will resume on Monday and we are taking measures to mitigate against the risk of future occurrences."

However, this morning's first flight from Jersey to Guernsey due to arrive at 9.50am has already been delayed.

Blue Islands, who operate the inter-island service on behalf of franchise partner Flybe, have now faced weeks of disruption.

Some of the issues have been caused by the weather, but much of the delays delays are down to problems securing a new aircraft, which the company says was due to arrive in May.

Rob Veron has declined to be interviewed since the problems the began but his latest statement says:
