Jersey coastal landmark now open to sleep in

La Rocco Tower in St Ouen's Bay

An iconic landmark of Jersey's West coast is now open to stay in.

La Rocco Tower in St Ouen's Bay has been converted into a holiday let.

It sleeps up to six adults but they have to be escorted by a Jersey Heritage accredited guide because the tower is surrounded by sea twice a day.

Spring tides mean the tower can only be accessed by visitors twice a month.

The money raised will go towards the conservation of other Jersey Heritage sites

Jersey Heritage, who run the project, say they've already raised £1m by letting out other old buildings, like Fort Leicester.

An overnight stay is being auctioned online

To help raise money for future projects, Jersey Heritage is auctioning an overnight stay in the tower online from this evening.
