Human rights activist: 'botched' investigation cannot prove guilt in David Miller case
A human rights activist defending the two men found guilty of murdering David Miller has told ITV News the investigation into the killing was 'botched' and can't prove their guilt.
Andy Hall is working with the defence team of Zaw Lin and Wai Phyo, two Burmese migrant workers sentenced to death for killing Jersey man David Miller and British woman Hannah Withridge in Thailand.
He says the team, who are appealing the verdict, 'fundamentally disagree' with the judgement.
Controversy surrounded the trial after claims that DNA evidence was contaminated.
Hall claims the evidence doesn't adhere to international standards and cannot prove, beyond reasonable doubt, that the Burmese pair are guilty.
