Appeal submitted for men convicted of murdering David Miller
The mothers of two men convicted of murdering Jerseyman David Miller are submitting an appeal to the Thai courts today.
The 24-year-old was killed on the island of Koh Tao in September 2014, along with fellow British tourist, Hannah Witheridge.
Two Burmese migrant workers, Zaw Lin and Wai Phyo, both 22, have been sentenced to death for the killings.
The appeal against the verdict has been the result of five months of work by a team of seven Thai lawyers, who are campaigning for an adequate defence for the pair.
It has also been supported by Burmese, Australian and British translators and assistants.
In February, David Miller's parents described the intense pain of their loss at an inquest into their son's death.
His mother said the family will always have a gaping hole in their lives.
