Hackers attacked Thai police websites yesterday in protest against the sentencing of the migrants found guilty of Jersey-man David Miller's murder.

International hacking group Anonymous have claimed they targeted 14 websites.

Two Mynamar migrant workers have been sentenced to death for the murder of David Miller in Thailand in 2014, and the rape and murder of British woman Hannah Witheridge.

The case has been mired in controversy amid questions about the police investigation and Thailand's treatment of migrant workers.

The sentencing has sparked protests in Mynamar and 'hacktivist' group Anonymous released a statement to the parents of David and Hannah in December.

Nine sites of those Anonymous claimed to have hacked were inaccessible yesterday.

The words 'Failed Law', 'We want justice', and '#BoycottThailand' were displayed on some sites.

Police confirmed the attack on its websites but said there was no confidential data on them.

Anonymous posted a 37-minute video to their Facebook pageon Sunday, where a masked person questioned the competency of the Thaipolice force and its handling of this and other cases.
