Fun Run raises over £4k for Jonah Gillingham and Anthony McMahon
A Fun Run raised over £4,000 for the medical treatment of two Guernsey boys yesterday.
The Kings Mill Jogging Club hosted the event to raise funds for Jonah Gillingham, who has a rare life-threatening blood disorder, and Anthony McMahon, who needs an operation to save his leg.
Guernsey's Health Department have refused to pay for the treatment they need.
Over 400 people took part in the Fun Run, including over 100 children.
Support from Guernsey Police and Les Beaucamps School, among other organisations, meant the run was hosted at zero cost.
So far over £30,000 of the £120,00 needed has been raised for Anthony and you can donate online here.
Nearly £8,000 has been raised for Jonah, he needs £270,000 for treatment and you can donate here.
