Guernsey's Lucy Beere continued her good run at the Atlantic Championships in Cyprus this morning by beating Spain 21-8.

She is now second in the standings just behind Ireland. She will play her next game this afternoon against third place Zimbabwe.

She got off to a perfect start in the competition by winning her two first matches with ease, beating Havva Konanc from Turkey 21-14 and Miriam Ndungu from Kenya 21-12. She then lost her third match against Scotland 21-10.

After their victory over Jersey yesterday the Men's Four team hope to continue their unbeaten run as they face England this afternoon.

Only the top three in the competition will head to the medal play-offs however a top five finish would be enough to qualify for the 2016 World Championships in New Zealand.
