Islander speaks out about mental health and getting back to work
31-year-old Chloe first experienced mental health problems in her teens.
It seriously affected her social skills, friendships and career.
Chloe was unable to work for seven years.
She found it difficult to be around people and was very isolated.
Jersey Employment Trust is a charity that helps people with a disability, such a mental health, to find and keep a job.
Chloe got involved with the charity who provided her with courses in IT and interpersonal skills as well as office placements.
Since then she has started a full time job as a receptionist.
One company that offers work placements to people like Chloe say they see a great improvement in participants, some placements are even converted into full time jobs.
JET now work closely with mental health charity Mind to promote good health in the workplace.
