How Jersey plans to save £145 million
States members in Jersey will begin debating how to make hundreds of millions of pounds worth of cuts today.
Fifteen amendments to their plan to save £145m have been put forward.
A large part of those savings are proposed to come from cuts and taxes, including reducing the public sector wage bill by £70 million.
That will lead to pay freezes, job losses and outsourcing.
Hundreds of public sector workers protested against the measures at the weekend.
