End of an era at ITV Channel

Watch ITV Channel this evening, and you'll see the last ever half-hour 6pm broadcast from the team's studio at La Pouquelaye.

We're moving to a brand new home at Castle Quay, and from next week that's where your local news will be broadcast from.

The new studio will allow us to put the programme out in HD, so it's an exciting time for ITV Channel.

But there's also an element of nostalgia, as La Pouquelaye has been the team's base for the last 27 years.

Old tapes from the Channel Archives are amongst the gems that are being moved to the new headquarters.

Throughout the last two weeks we've been broadcasting some of these archive reports, and tonight's edition is particularly fitting - it's a report about ITV Channel's move to La Pouquelaye, 27 years ago.
