The minimum wage paid to islanders in Jersey is being reviewed.

The Employment Forum is considering what the hourly rate should be set at from next April (2016).

For the next two months, the Employment Forum will speak to representatives from employers and employees, to help it come to a decision.

It will consider these responses, along with the latest statistics and economic advice, and will make a recommendation to the Minister for Social Security.

The Minister will consider these recommendations, and then propose any changes to the minimum wage, that are considered necessary.
