Spring clean for iconic chandelier
A particularly challenging spring clean is getting underway at Jersey Opera House.
Tomorrow (27 May), work will begin to clean the opera house's chandelier.
It was installed in 2000, and is raised and lowered for every performance and interval.
It's cleaned once every two years, and is a challenging job:
It takes five people two days to complete the job
The chandelier has 10,200 pieces
It contains 39 bulbs
G4S will begin the clean on Wednesday 27 May.
