Police forces in the Midlands have received flowers in sympathy for the loss of an officer who was killed in a terrorist attack in London.

More than half a million pounds has been raised to support the family of murdered Pc Keith Palmer who was stabbed to death on Wednesday as he attempted to disarm Khalid Masood outside the Palace of Westminster.

Masood, 52, had been living in Birmingham. Police made multiple arrests and raided several properties in the city in the wake of the attack.

Northamptonshire Police revealed they have been sent flowers in sympathy for the loss of their colleague in blue.

Police in Dudley received cake from a member of the public in recognition of their work.
