No criminal investigation after Storm Doris death

West Midlands Police has confirmed to ITV News Central that there will be no criminal investigation after a woman died during Storm Doris in Wolverhampton last week.

29-year-old Tahnie Martin from Stafford received fatal injuries after she was hit by a large piece of wooden roofing from a building on Dudley Street on February 23.

A woman has been treated for a serious head injury and taken to hospital after being hit by a carport roof.

The incident happened on Hartshill Road in Stoke on Trent, yesterday (23 February) afternoon.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said:

On arrival, crews were told the roof fell down and hit the woman.

The woman, believed to be in her 60s, was treated for a serious head injury and was suffering from a slightly reduced level of consciousness.
