For many it's the end of half-term but with the effects of Storm Doris to contend with, what better way to spend the weekend than at some of the regions best family friendly (indoor) attractions, there's so much to do and much of it's free!

Leicester's Magazine Gateway was originally the main gateway of a walled enclosure built in 1400. Its purpose was to give access to an internal religious precinct. Since then, it has had a number of uses including a porter's lodge, a prison and a museum.
This weekend, the rarely seen building will be open to the public and visitors are being invited to explore the ancient architecture, and best of all, it's free!
The guided tour starts at 11am and lasts for around an hour.
