Paraplegic fundraiser Claire Lomas welcomes baby girl
Fundraiser Claire Lomas has given birth to a baby girl. She tweeted the news earlier this evening welcoming her daughter Chloe and thanked staff at the Queen's Medical Centre for their support.
Claire, from Leicestershire, was left paralysed after a riding accident in 2007, since she has raised hundreds of thousands for spinal research charities and has been awarded an MBE.
She famously walked the London Marathon marathon in 2012 wearing a "bionic suit" and completed the Great North Run in Newcastle last year.
