Prisoners have been smashing up parts of HMP Birmingham after overpowering guards, according to sources.
Riot at Winson Green prison spreads
G4S has said a riot at its Winson Green prison has spread to a further two wings.
A tornado squad is among the extra help G4S has called in to deal with the disturbance, that had originally started on wings N and P.
Managing Director for G4S custodial and detention services, Jerry Petherick, said:
A helicopter from West Midlands Police has also been called to the prison.
