Road closures remain in place today after a burst water main brought flooding chaos to a suburb of Birmingham.
Motorists are being urged to avoid the area surrounding Harborne Lane in Selly Oak after gallons of water escaped from a burst water pipe last night.
West Midlands Fire and Rescue have released this aerial image, showing the extent of the flooding in Selly Oak after a burst water main released gallons of water into the street this afternoon.
They say they've been called out to help 10 families affected by the incident
Robin and Geraldine Tea said there was “chaos” as the torrent cascaded through their driveway, garage and garden.
Severn Trent Water said that the burst main was a 42-inch diameter pipe which serves 200,000 homes.
A Birmingham road which was flooded after a main water pipe burst will remain closed today as repairs continue.
