Report: Serious damage after high winds batter Midlands

High winds gusting at speeds of up to 84 miles an hour have battered the Midlands damaging homes and disrupting road and rail travel.

Shropshire and Staffordshire were the worst affected parts of our region. Our reporter Melissa Wright has been to Meir in Stoke on Trent where tonight a community is clearing up the aftermath.
