Double decker bus crashes into ambulance in Birmingham

An ambulance ended up on its side after a collision with a bus in the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham in the early hours of this morning.

West Midlands ambulance service said two people who were on the bus and one member of the ambulance crew were were taken to hospital but have now all been released.

We can confirm that and ambulance was involved in a collision with a double decker bus in Birmingham early this morning which resulted in the ambulance ending up on its side.

Two people from the bus were taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham but have subsequently been released after treatment.

One member of the ambulance crew has also been treated at the sane hospital and been discharged.

A full investigation had been launched to establish exactly what happened.
