Traffic levels fall in Nottingham following parking levy
Figures show that the number of miles travelled by cars, vans and other motor vehicles in Nottingham has fallen dramatically over the last 15 years.
In the year 2000 - 477 million miles were made by motor vehicles. Last year that figure fell by 39 million miles.
The council say it's down to schemes like the Workplace Parking Levy where businesses in the city are charged per parking space they have, as well as improvements to the city's tram network.
