Thousands raised for families of five men who died at recycling site in Birmingham

The families of the five men are facing bills of around £5,000 each to repatriate their bodies. A local newspaper has started a campaign to raise cash to help towards the costs of returning them to their home country of Gambia.

'We are trying to keep everyone calm'

A leader in Birmingham's Gambian community is urging for calm and patience as rescue workers continue to try and recover the final two bodies trapped in the rubble from yesterday's wall collapse.

Five men in total were killed when the wall came down at Hawkswood Metal Recycling in Nechells yesterday morning.
