Birmingham Airport bosses exclusively told ITV News Central they would instead ask that the former Wolves manager give the money to a charity of his choice.

The former Aston Villa, Derby County and Nottingham Forest striker headed to France to work as a pundit during Wales' Euro 2016 bid - but, believing their stay in the contest would be short-lived, he parked up in the short stay car park.

However, as they managed to reach the semi-finals, he began racking up a huge fee.

The airport had initially promised to scrap the fine if Wales emerged victorious, but after they crashed out in a 2-0 loss to Portugal yesterday, bosses decided to ask for a charity donation instead.

Goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and Nani within three minutes of one another in the second half of the match sealed Wales' exit.
