Kayleigh Haywood: Jury finds second man guilty of false imprisonment

The jury in the trial of two men accused of falsely imprisoning a 15 year old girl from Leicestershire have found Luke Harlow guilty of false imprisonment.

Kayleigh Haywood's body was found dumped in a field near Ibstock last November.

Yesterday Stephen Beadman who's admitted raping & killing Kayleigh, was also found guilty of false imprisonment.

Today the jury at Nottingham crown court took just over 8 hours to reach the same verdict against Harlow.

Leicestershire County Council have praised 15-year-old schoolgirl Kayleigh Haywood's family for their 'bravery' at such 'extremely distressing' times.

These are truly appalling crimes and I’m pleased that those responsible have been brought to justice. Kayleigh’s family have continually shown such bravery and my thoughts remain with them at this extremely distressing time.

Clearly this is a difficult period for children and young people and we’re working with schools to ensure that they are supported.
