Midlands winners awarded in Queen's Birthday honours
Local heroes in the Midlands and celebrities including Nottingham's Stuart Broad and Citizen Khan creator Adil Ray have been named among the Queens Birthday list honourees.
Citizen Khan's Adil Ray receives OBE in Queen's Honours
Adil Ray received an OBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours and then dedicated the award to his parents, who made Britain their home.
The comic plays the much-loved Pakistani Brummie Mr Khan in his hit sitcom.
He was awarded the OBE for services to broadcasting in the Queen's 90th Birthday Honours list.
