Kathryn Smith has been jailed for life after being found guilty of murdering her 21-month-old daughter at their family home in Burton-on-Trent. Ayeeshia's stepfather has been jailed for three and a half years.
Burton and Uttoxeter MP Andrew Griffiths has questioned the Prime Minister about the death of Ayeeshia Smith, who was murdered by her mother.
Mr Griffiths was concerned that those on the serious case review panel for Ayeeshia's case were directly involved in the organisation's being investigated.
He asked David Cameron in PMQ's this afternoon whether he can make the panel more independent so that 'no other child suffers'.
