A former social worker at a children's home in Nottingham has been found guilty of sexual offences dating back to the 1980s.

Andris Logins, 57, has been found guilty of 15 counts of indecent assault and 4 counts of rape.

Convicted former social worker faces 'substantial' sentence

A former social worker found guilty of committing sexual offences while employed at a children's home in Nottingham has been told he is to face a 'substantial' custodial sentence for his crimes.

Andris Logins, 57 of Stiles Road in Arnold, was found guilty of 15 counts of indecent assault and 4 counts of rape at a trial at Nottingham Crown Court.

After sending him down, judge James Sampson told Mr Logins: "I am sure you have already been advised you face a substantial sentence which will be measured in a number of years."

He is expected to be sentenced on Wednesday.
