Campaign launched to encouraged more women in motorsport

A campaign's been launched in Birmingham to get more girls in to motorsport.

The Motosport Association is holding five session across the country to encourage women to take part because less than 8 percent of all race licence holders in the UK are female.

It is ahead of the Autosport show at the NEC in Birmingham

The "Dare to be Different" campaign has been spear-headed by former formula one test driver Susie Wolff.

It comes off the back of comments by F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone that female drivers in the sport would not be taken seriously.
