The National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire is asking for old Christmas trees to be donated and used to maintain the grounds.

Last Christmas, nearly 200 Christmas trees were recycled with the chippings being used around its 150 acre site.

This year, the national centre for Remembrance is once again appealing to the public to bring in their used trees once they've removed tinsel and decorations.

“Chippings are incredibly useful and are used throughout the year across our grounds. We are therefore encouraging people to bring their real Christmas trees to our designated drop off point at the Arboretum for recycling between the 1st and 15th January."
