Five bailed after Amazon van thefts

Five men have been release on police bail after an Amazon van containing 170 parcels were stolen.

The men were arrested on Friday (18 December) at a property in Little Park, Quinton.

More than 170 stolen parcels that should have been on their way to customers were recovered by police in Birmingham following a tip-off from a member of the public.

The Amazon van has also now been recovered.

Officers are working with the online retailer who originally dispatched the packages to get them to where they should be going in time for Christmas.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who may have seen the van in the area, or who has any information about the theft, to do the right thing and come forward.
