People in Coventry will join together today to remember the Coventry Blitz, 75 years ago.

Survivors of the Blitz will be joining students at a number of schools in the city to remember the bombing during the Second World War.

Coventry was one of the worst hit places during the German bombings of 1940, due to its prominence as a manufacturing city.

It was bombed many times during the war, but one of the most severe nights of devastation came on the evening of the 14 November, where many people died and a huge number of buildings were destroyed.
