More Sharm el-Sheikh flights due to land at Birmingham

More flights are due to land at Birmingham, carrying passengers from Sharm el-Sheikh.

Nearly 2,000 tourists aboard nine flights returned to airports across the country on Saturday, along with around 1,500 on Friday.

Flight with stranded Sharm passengers due in Birmingham

A Monarch flight containing passengers who were stranded in Sharm El Sheikh is due to arrive back in Birmingham today.

Four of their five flights have now landed in Sharm El Sheikh, the fifth flight has been diverted to Larnaca.

Monarch flights ZB097 will operate to London Gatwick and ZB475 to Birmingham airport.

Monarch is working continuously with Department of Transport and the Egyptian authorities to get customers back to the UK as quickly as possible. We recognise this is a very frustrating situation and apologise for the inconvenience this is causing our customers."
