Lord "Dickie" Attenborough, from Leicester, championed the British film business through its triumphs and trials for more than 50 years as an actor, Oscar-winning director and prolific movie-maker.
He died at the age of 90 last year.
His career highlights included appearing in 1993 blockbuster Jurassic Park and directing Gandhi.
The 1982 biographical film won eight Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director.
