Motorcyclist airlifted after Alcester crash

A motorcyclist has been airlifted to hospital after an accident on the A46 near Alcester today.

Paramedics were called to the scene - just outside Haselor Hill - at around 8am.

The motorcycle had collided with a car, and had been badly damaged. A man in his forties was treated for head lacerations and back injuries before being airlifted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for more treatment.

The female driver was checked over but did not require hospital treatment.
