The marathon runner and record breaker, Blind Dave, from West Bromwich has revealed his latest fundraising challenge which will take him to the desert.

Dave Heeley is the only blind person to have run seven marathons in seven days on seven continents. He also is the only blind person to have run and cycled from John O'Groats to Lands End which is the equivalent of ten marathons in ten days.

In April 2015, the charity fundraiser will take on the Sahara Desert, one of the toughest foot races on earth with a distance of more than 150 miles and soaring temperatures to contend with.

Blind Dave will raise money for The Albion Foundation. He said: "Being an ambassador for the Albion Foundation has enabled me to see the fantastic work they do helping disable people to become involved in sport, in particular their blind football."
