Plane in emergency alert from East Midlands Airport
A Boeing 737 plane headed from East Midlands Airport to Heraklion has now landed safely in Manchester after declaring an emergency shortly after take-off.
Fire service confirm crews are at East Midlands Airport
Leicestershire FIre & Rescue Service have confirmed they are in attendance at East Midlands Airport, but are unable to comment any further on the Jet2 flight from East Midlands to Heraklion in Crete.
